Dear Sir.....

You will herewith find enclosed my daily Protest to the false
and unjust Execution of my comrade and countryman, Joseph Hillstrom.
You know deep down in your heart that he is innocent of any crime
whatsoever and if you are a man amongst men you will release him
immediately. I still hold and claim that if Joseph Hillstrom is
shot on the morning of the 1st. of Oct. that the State of Utah
will become a legalized Murderer adn there will be no one else to blame
but you and therefore the power to Free Hillstrom lies with you
and you only, so therefore do your duty as a man should and give
him complete FREEDOM. There must be at least Three Millions of
Workingmen who are protesting against this damnable outrage and I
tell you again it will be a RED BLOT upon the State of Utah if you
let this shooting of an innocent man occur. So do your duty as a
man should and FREE Joseph Hillstrom. Do it now before it is to
late. Act before he is shot. Hoping that you FREE Joe Hill before
the 1st. of Oct. I am
