Lawrence, Kansas, Sept. 11,1915 To the Honorable Governer Spry, Board of Pardons, Salt Lake City, Utah. We the undersigned citizens of Lawrence, Kansas are convinced that the prosecution of Joe Hill was a clear case of infamous injustice and we therefore most earnestly protest against his execution, believing it to be rank murder, a blow at liberty and a crime against the working class, and ask that you exercise your executive power to prevent this infamous injustice.
