January 4th, 1916.
Mr. C. F. Kungle.
Cartersville, Mo.
My dear Sir:-
This letter is an expression of appreciation of
your communication of November 19th, expressing your
approval of my action in the somewhat notorious Hillstrom
case. It is a source of satisfaction to know
that the right-thinking people of the country up-hold
the officials of this state in their efforts to maintain
law and order.
I have taken the liberty of showing your letter
to the members of the State Board of Pardons who
join with me in this expression of thanks.
Cordially yours,
Governor.
