The Governor of Utah,
Salt Lake City Utah.
Dear sir.
I regard the execution of
Joe Hill as legalized murders
appeal to you not to permit [its?]
of in your judgement he must
be punished I beg you commute his
sentence to imprisonment.
There is several reasons, I think. - which
I shall not take your time to discus- why
imprisonment is preferable to the death
sentence.
