My dear Mrs. Porter,

I was glad to receive your letter telling
me that you would be at the meetings.

I am writing to ask you to speak to the
women on the topic in which you are so much interested. It
is something that ought to be brought to their attention and
it seems to me to be a very appropriate time. Would fifteen
or twenty minutes give you time enough? There are so many topics
that ought to be touched upon for the purpose of outlining
discussion that we will have to limit to some extent. Pleaese
let me hear from you very soon and suggest a heading for
your topic. I am sorry to have been so late in asking you but
as you know this whole thing has been sprung quickly.
