My dear Miss Stadie:--

I am in receipt of your letter
and statement, which came to-day.

Enclosed you will find check for
$50.00 to apply on this. We are very short of funds
just at present, while I am waiting for a check that
is to come from the National. I expected it to-day,
but it will surely come tomorrow and then I hope to
be able to straighten these matters up.
