My dear Mr. Elrod:--

I am in receipt of your statement, which
was sent in answer to Mrs. Hipple's request, and for which we
are very grateful. It is direct and right to the point.
When a man says he is "heartily in favor of the citizenship-
amendment", we know he means business. We will be very glad
to use this statment in connection with the many others which
are coming to us.
