Miss Alice Loraine Daley,
991 Hastings Ave.,
St. Paul, Minnesota.

My dear Miss Daley:--

Your letter of June 5th was received
yesterday morning, but since the suffrage schools were in
session here in Huron and also a meeting of a conference
committee from the Woman's Committee, Council of National
Defense, of which I am a member, the day was so filled
that I was not able to answer at once and regret this, be-
cause every day and hour seems so precious.

I have read very carefully your letter
and note what you say in regard to Dr. Heston's request.
I believe if you could come right into the state now and
take up the work for us, that we would not mind the break-
ing into our time, by giving the time to Dr. Heston, that
he requires, although our campaign ought to be carried over
in the next couple of months. I take it for granted that
with my sanction to the plan as you have written it, you
will come on without further correspondence and I think
perhaps it will be just as well for you to come right to
Huron.

Sincerely,
