Mrs. S. J. Conklin,
Brookings, So. Dak.
My dear Mrs. Conklin:--
Miss Pidgeon has given the report of
her visit to Brookings with your name as chairman. I write
to thank you and to tell you how glad I am that you are
to be associated with us in this work. I think you have a
good committee and I am sure that with such a band of co-
workers and with you as leader, it will not be long until
you are able to report your county organized, with a
chairman in each township. We are asking that this work
be finished by April first. With this time limit all over
the state, we hope to be able, by April first, to begin a
strong and definite line of work, with the complete co-
operation of each county in the state. Will you kindly
send in, at your early convenience, the numbers and names
of the townships in your county. then when you send in the
chairmen of your different townships, with the name of the
township of which she is chairman, we will be able to keep
a complete file here.
Again thanking you for your assistance
in this work, I am,
Sincerely,
[Mamie Pyle]
