==Passage from [[India]] to
[[England]]==

On the 3rd of April 1865 we embarked at [[Kurrachee]]
[[East India]] for [[England]] on board the Ship [[Gosforth]] 303 in
number with 5 or 6 Cabin passengers, the ship is a nice little
Bark but on the account of so many Soldiers leaving
[[India]] shiping was very scarse, so the Government had to
put as many on each ship as could possably be taken
so we had one hundred to many on board. + we was very
much [?], our Ratines was of good, yet after a few
days at sea we could have put with a little more.
we was greatly amused looking at the flying fishes as
they rose from before our ship + flow until there wings
got dry + then thy lighted in the waters again, the
distance they generly fly is about 30 or 40 yards,

We also was amused very much with the [illegible?]
+ Dulphans as they played away on the Surface
