(NB. Beside a nominal university
for Physic, as I might almost call it; there
are four others in Italy - if not five - viz -
at [[Bologna]] & [[Padua]] w'ch [which] are the two best -
[[Florence]] & [[Parma]] - but that of [[Parma]]
has not more than about 30 medic'l [medical] Stud'ts [Students] -
I beleive we may count a medical College
also at [[Turin]] - (as well as [[Milan]])

( N.B. Being introduc'd [introduced] to Doct'r [Doctor] [[Flaminio
Torrigiani]] Physic'n [Physician] & Surgeon at Parma
& who is Professor of Anatomy in the University
He shew'd me one of the finest & whitest human Skeleton

Directions

1'st [first]. Choose a good Subject adult, but young -
w'ch [which] has dy'd [died] of a dropsy or lingering Consumpt'n [Consumption] -
thus all the oil is chiefly extracted from the
Bones
