one end almost of the Hospital to the
other in a crucial form _ Above
this is a Gallery railled in with
another Row of Beds for Sick, w/ch [which] are
ranged all along the Gallery without
Partitions _ there being sufficient Room
for the Beds, Tables _ Physicns. [Physicians] & Attendts [Attendants]
to pass by & do their Bussiness _ The
Stairs are at the End of the gallery _
w/ch [which] communicate almost all round.
The Windows w/ch [which] give the common light
to those below & those in the gallery, are
just above the Gallery _ w/ch [which] makes it
airey & spacious throughout _ & sufficiently
close below on Acct. [Account] of the Arches for Such
Patients as require to be kept separate _

Took leave of my [[Lord Ossory]] & [[Mr. [Mister] Brumpton]]
this forenoon, & Set out abt. [about] 6 OClock in the
Evening for [[Milan]] _ but first visitd [visited]
the University w/ch [which] in no promising Condition _ there are 4
Professrs. [Professors] of Medne. [Medicine] who read each 2 Courses in y/e [the] fall & winter
ie [id est] 6 months for w/ch [which] they are each paid but 100 Crowns
Salary _ nothing from the scholars
