Spoke to [[Lord Ossory]] & [[Mr. [Mister] Brumpton]] this
Night at the Theatre _ My Lord is on his
way from [[Venice]] to [[Genoa]] to join the
[[Duke of York]]. [[Mr. [Mister] Brumpton]] intends to
go to [[Rome]], but accompany'd [accompanied] his Lordship
so far

Tuesday Augst. [August] 13. Went this Morning
to the Hospital of the city, w/ch [which] is large eno' [enough]
to contain about 300 Sick Men & Women _
It has a fine garden behind adjoining the
royal garden where the Palace of Paintings
is, mentioned yesterday _ It is well built _
Has a large & convenient Laboratory adjoining
& Apothecary's Shop _ At one End is a fine
Suit of Rooms up Stairs like those for the Officers
of the Hospital, on each Side of a spacious
Entry _ very like those in some of the grand
Convents we see in [[Italy]] _

One thing is peculiar to this Hospital _
Instead of two Stories for Sick one above another
there is a common Cieling _ The Beds of the
Sick below are under Arches, so are separated
by
