He then carry'd me into a Small Cabinet
where he shew'd me a greater number of skeletons
of the human foetus subject in a series from a
few weeks old to 9 months; & from that
upwards to an adult -
Among others a foetus of 6 or 7
Months old in w'ch [which] the form was compleat
except near? half the Spine was ie ye [the] back part
of it was wanting all ye [the] way up; nor had it
even either brain or spinal marrow -
He shew'd me also a Calculus form'd on
a needle in ye [the] Bladder of a Man w'ch [which] had
slipped up the Urethra without forming any
Ulceration, or ye [the] least sign of the Ciccatrix
of a wound - This & ye [the] following w'ch [which]
he shew'd me are spoken of in his Treatsie
de Sede et Causis Morborum viz
The 2'd [2nd] was a Calculus formed on ye [the]
Point of a Corking Pin w'ch [which] h a female had
introduc'd [introduced] a little way into her Bladder, w'ch [which]
being irritated thereby contracted & drew
the Pin into ye [the] Bladder so as to form lay ye [the]
foundation of a Calculus of w'ch [which] she dy'd [died] -
