Roberts "at home" August, 1832 - Season of 1832 - '33 at the Chestnut Street Theatre - Maywood, Rowbotham & Pratt, managers - First appearance in Philadelphia of the Ravel family - Jim Crow Rice - Miss Vincent - Death of Mr. Jefferson - First appearance of Charles Kemble - Sketch of him - Miss Fanny Kemble's debut. During the cholera visitation of 1832, while "death on the pale horse" bestrode our city, Roberts, the comedian, gave, at its abatement, physic for laughter at the Musical Fund Hall. To conclude with the Tablean Vivant of the Italian Brigands!! On an entire new principle, as painted is Paris, by the celebrated Cicily - founded upon cir. actually eccurred in 1804.
