Death of Mrs. Charles Durang--Mrs. Charles Durang, widow of Mr. Charles Durang, the wellknown author of the History of the Philadelphia Stage, died last evening at the residence of her son, Mr. E. F. Durang. Mrs. Durang early life, as Miss White, went upon the stage and was successful in all high comedy parts, and gave to the characters she assumed a grace and dignity which in her days was considered a requisite for every performer. Through her professional talents, histrionic skill, and popularity in a time of which few of the present generation know little, she was able to educate her brother, in the afterwards well-known Judge White, of Indiana county, and whose son, General Harry White, is at present a member of Congress. Mrs. Durang, although long ago drawn from the public gaze, has always been recognized as the represenative of the best type of those who adorned the stage in its purity. She made her home the resort of all that was cultured and polite, and her domestic circle was always enlivened by vivacity and geniality. Of her chlidren who survive her is E.F. Durang, the well-known architect; John Durang, the popular Captain of Company A, 2d Regiment; and Oscar Durang, the editor of the Military and Firemen's columns in the Sunday Mercury.
