[Friday October 6, 1961] Franz at 11 for rehearsal. At 1, made withdrawal from Emigrant at 42nd Street. One thousand in cash. Two thousand in a check which I immediately deposited next door in my bank chem. Bnk N.Y. Trust Co. total (3000.00) Went to Dr Carter, for examinations. 1 1/2 hrs, returning at 3:45 to apt. Left on 4:32 to Danbury. Four taxi for the day. Baggage help Train ticket papers Letter here from Mr H with important information.

[Saturday October 7, 1961] Called Mr Crawford. Signed mother's Wellington check #253. - for mailing to Ethel.

Transcription Conventions

Spelling: Maintain original spelling (including u/v, i/j, and ff). Long "s" should be replaced with a regular "s". Terminal long "i" characters are transcribed as "i" not "j".
Hyphenation: Preserve hyphens (including "=" characters) at the ends of lines.
Capitalization: Maintain original
Punctuation: Add modern periods, but don't add punctuation like commas and apostrophes.
Deletions: Deleted characters and words are tagged with "strike" and then displayed with the line through them.
Symbols: For apothecary and alchemical symbols, use these symbols followed by the meaning of the symbol in brackets: Rx [recipe]; ℈ [scruple]; ʒ [dram]; ʒs [half dram]; ℥ [ounce]; ℥s [half ounce]; ℔ [pound].
