[Friday JANUARY 11, 1963]
In Phila
Weather not good. Fanny took me to market for Ethel. I contributed $19.55 Back record time Ethel returned from hairdresser + proceeded to fix up Jim's "studio" Later we worked on her refrigerator + I pierced the coil case. Good by "frig" I was embarrased tho Ethel says it's a blessing. The box is over 20 years old + she feared "gas" trouble most any time.
Jim arrived from the hospital while the cleaning up was in high gear. The floor was slippery as ice (from the fluid) Bruce took the box outside! Later on we met Jim's Thai friends who stayed to dinner and later. They gave me a bracelet. Jim showed slides + some are fantastic.
Mother will see them another time
