74 -To graft a Vine on 3
Choose a Stock as big
as your Arm, & perce a Hole thro' it
with a Drill of Gouge. & put thro it
a shoot of another Vine that grows near
it of a different Grape without cutting
it from them. observing to make
the Hole above the other shoots of the
Vine you pierce - rasp the
outside of the Shoot a little, & let it go
thro' with Difficulty, then put clay
around as usual in other Grafting.
