& disagreeable to me to communicate such

can do is keep him at home & let him
take lessons from Dr Curtis. He will then
be under your control.

I sent up by the train the Bags
of Sugar & the barrel of whiskey which
I hope will arrive safely - I am glad
that the Yankee brought your [Stagville?]
[men?] to terms -
