Sir,
Permit me to request your attention to the
accompanying copy of a Circular which has been
addressed to all parents and guardians, who have sons or
wards at the University.

The duty which I recommend so earnestly to others,
will in my own case be considered an imperative obliga=
tion, and no one must be permitted to contract a debt
in my name, or on my account, here or elsewhere, with=
out exhibiting specific authority in writing and such
authority will be rarely given.
