At a special meeting of the Board of Trustees at Chapel Hill, consisting of the following members, namely his Excellency Gov. Wm Hawkins President Rev Robert Chapman Rev. Joseph Caldwell William Polk Duncan Cameron Frederick Nash Edward jones James Mebane the following [illegible] was transacted.

A motion was made to create a new district of the counties of Stokes, Avery, Wilkes & Ashe, & that Isaac Nelson [illegible] hereby is, appointed attorney for the same

Ordered that the County of Granville be added to district No 10

Ordered that Thomas Burges be appointed Attorney for the district composed of the counties of Northhampton, Hailfax & Edgecombe, in the [illegible] of Moses Mordecai resigned

Ordered that the treasurer pay to Mr Abner Clopton the sume of ninety eight dollars, eighteen cents (98.19) for accounts
