Samuel Hill Dobson, Extension Professor of Crop Science, requests permission to accept an appointment as Professor and Advisor for the Director of Extension on the Agricultural Peru contract from September 1, 1963 to September 1, 1965.

Study Leave

Ross S. Douglass, Extension Assistant Professor of Forest Management requests a study leave at half-pay ($4,475) for twelve months effective November 1, 1963.

Resignations

Margaret C. Drenowatz, Head, Tobacco Literature Service, resigned effective Aubust 31, 1963.

Floyd Phillip Gehres, Assistant Professor of Industrial Education resigned effective September 14, 1963, to accept a position as Assistant Director of Adult and Vocational Education in the City of Miami, Florida.

Elwood Dean Traylor, Assistant Professor of Nuclear Engineering, resigned effective Septembet 12, 1963.

Declined

Carroll Thompson Newton, Assistant to the Dean of Engineering and Associate Professor of Civil Engineering, declined effective September 1, 1963.

On motion made and duly seconded the report of Chancellor Caldwell was unanimously approved.

THE UNIVERSITY AT GREENSBORO

In the absence of Chancellor Singletary, Dean Mereb Mossman presented the report in behalf of the University at Greensboro. It is as follows:

Continuation of Service

Continuation of service on a limited basis for the first semester of 1963-64, for the following who have reached age 65, is requested:

Miss Mary Harrell, age 69, Associate Professor Emeritus of Commercial Studies.

Leave of Absence

Dr. Edmund Berkeley, Associate Professor of Biology, leave of absence for 1964-65 without salary, to undertake the editing of the correspondence of John James Beckley, first Clerk of the United States House of Representatives and first Librarian of Congress, both in the libraries of the United States and in Europe.

The above recommendations on behalf of the University at Greensboro were unanimously approved.
