Thursday 20 Jany 1859 halled Rails + wood all day with
3 wagons the other hands made fence on the line
between me + Dr Wiseman we have 271 pannels
to make on the line between [] + wiseman
verry nice day cloudy in the evening
Friday 21 Jany 1859 raining this morning +
continues to rain all day in the evening we had a
Thunder Storm the wind blew verry hard + rained
verry hard blew our fence dawn in several places
quite warm done no work out
Saturday 22 Jany 1859 cleared off this morning but
not verry cold in the evening the wind blew
hard from the north and got cold fast
Sunday the 23 Jany 1859 wind blew hard from
the north all night + is verry cold this morning
Ther at 9 Deg. above 0 [] cold all
Monday 24th Jany 1859 ther at 12 deg this morning
halled 28 load of ice 1 1/2 to 2 in thick
half 4 horse + half 2 horse loads Mr Chaler helped
us today we have our ice house nearly
full 70 loads in all
Tuesday the 25 Jany 1859 cold the ground
was froze verry hard halled wood all day
warmer in the afternoon made fence
Wednesday the 26 Jany 1859 rained a little this
morning sent two wagons to conrad mill
north [] [] sell the flour at 500 []
choped until noon then made fence
Thursday 27 Jany 1859 rained all day done
no work out quite warm
Friday 28 Jany 1859 rained a great deal last
night + still raining this morning down no work
out today warm + [] mudy froze
