the ground too wet to plow choped + halled + made

Tuesday 30th Novr 1858 too wet to plow halled wood
with one wagon + worked on the [lane] towards Dr Williams
with all the other hands quite cool
Wednesday 1st Dec 1858 halled wood +worked on
land as yesterday until noon then went to plowing
in big field south of house for corn with 4 plows
finished working the lane made a ncie road in the
lane quite cool all day
Thursday the 2nd Dec 1858 cloudy + cool in the morning
went to plowing with 4 plows + halling manure
with ox cart the [] chopping
Friday 3rd Dec 1858 plowed until noon it
rained + stoped us Jerry let the black more
+ [] mule run off with a plow + the black
more cut her foot verry bad with the plow
Saturday 4th Dec 1858 stoped raining in the
morning + we choped + halled wood the little
hands halled Rich earth + dirt to make a []
heap we put one load of rich earth + one
load of stable manure we have one large
[] made in that way
Monday the 6 Dec 1858 rained last night + still
raining this morning worked in barn
Tuesday the 7 Dec 1858 still raining moderately
until noon then stoped
Wednesday the 8th Dec 1858 rained hard this
morning stoped the middle of the afternoon
+ blowed cold worked 4 of our young [mules]
today for the first time they will they are 19 mo old
