Thursday the 13th May 1858 finished planting
corn today by noon the wagons halled
manure on the hills and the other []

Friday the 14 May finished halling manure
on our corn hills we manured about 40
of the barn field in the hill
[]planted the cherry orchard + commenced
in the barn field today warm + windy

Saturday the 15 May 1858 the negroes finished
planting their corn patches today

Monday the 17th May 1858 commenced plowing
the corn the first time with 7 plows in
the arthur field + []planted the barn field

Saturday the 22 May 1858 been breaking middle
+ planting peas all the week [] been sick
since wednesday nearly done
verry dry our corn is not doing well too dry
quite cool some frost this morning

Monday the 24th May 1858 still dry our ground
verry dry + hard plowed + replanted corn
in barn field [], still sick

Tuesday the 25th May 1858 finished breaking
middelles today by noon we also planted + hoed the sugar cane 3 acres
commenced crops plowing in the
fulford field in the afternoon
the little hands + daniel hoes + []
after the plows we planted last
week 35 acres in peas in the barn corn
field not sick [] rained a light shower
