Dear Brothers & Sisters

I received two letters from
you since I wrote to you last I wanted Mr
Lucian Sherrod & myself to go down to see
you all last week; but then horses are all
busy ploughing now. Moses has sowed
14 acres in rye, he will commence
to sow wheat tomorrow, havent jinned
any cotton yet, has out about 30 lbs
of cotton, has about 10 lbs to pick out,
made nearly two hundred barrels
of corn. Mit & I have twenty dozen
eggs, saving them for 50 cts a dozen &
some eight or ten chickings to sell
for 25 cts a piece. Mit is feeding
the cows, twice a day on cotton seed,
wheat-bran, punkings, turnips, peas
&c. Mit says can you beat that!
