When Richard Taliaferro bought "Midland" Col.George Taylor's place, he called it "Ashland," cr it may have had this name from Byrd Willis, who owned it before Taliagerro.
Lewis B.Williams bought it from George Taliaferro, son of Richard and called it "Yatton."
