Washington 20th March 1795
Dear Sir

I am informed that there is in Glasgow's
office, although the young man his clerk could not
find it for me, a Letter book for Gov Caswell in
which are contained a copy of the Letters directed
to the Govr as well as of the Letters he wrote
while Govr, except for one year. Mr Glasgow can
shew you the Book. Will you be so good as look
in it for the Copy of a Letter from Gov Pat Henry
to Gov Caswell in which he, sd Henry, proposes to
to Caswell that in case N Carolina will send to
the aid of Georgia & S Car: 2000 men then called for
by Congress, Virga will find her proportion
1000 into NC to protect the State while
such a Body of our militia should be absent.
doubtless also though not expressed, to see that
our Women did not lose their breeding Time.
Inclose me a copy of that Letter if you can
find it.
I am Dr Sir Your very hble Servt
Hu Williamson
