Surry County Sept 16th 1799 Sir I am willing to settle the law suit between as was formerly proposed to wit that I should relenquish my Judgement & pay half the county Court last, if you agree to this you may have the suit dismissed accordingly if not we must continue it of course as no Witness either for you nor against you will attend this Court [Heed?] Baker
