Petersburg July 25 1785 Dear Sir We are just favord with yours of the 20th of Mr Chizinhall who has paid us L 37.10/ at the credit of Johnston & Bunnehan with us & for which have given Mr C a rec.r We credited you for the error in Brown Roles being L7.9.1 at the time you were last here its being omitted to be inserted in the and rendered must been from neglect We shall not fail to make application to Sadlur & Eason when their note becomes due & shall apply the ams. as you direct- We recd. the Venison Hams for which are much obliged Tobacco has now dropt to 30/ and from the late unfavorable amts of the price it bears in Europe (say from 2 3/8 to 4) we do not think it will get higher --- We have only to add that we are with much esteem Dear Sir your ms. obt servt Donaldson & Stoltz

so forth [obscured] day of April in [obscured] eighty five and in the ninth year of the independence of the United States of America in the town of Washington, in the county of Beaufort and district aforesaid, had devised, granted, and to farm let to the said John, these several lots of land in the Town of Washington in the county and district aforesaid with all the improvements thereon, known & distinguished in the plan of the said Town by Lot No 49, Lot No 43, & lot No 40 - which said several lots of and are described in a mortgage deed from Michael [?] & Philip Reilly to the aforesaid George Grundy bearing date the fifteenth day of October in the year of our lord one thousand seven hundred & eighty four, to have and to hold the said several lots of land with the improvements thereon [obscured] John &
