I hope you will find this account right, and am sorry it was not forwarded sooner; But by some ommission it was neglected to be sent although it was made out the 20th Dec:r. I hope you will pardon this ommission & believe me to be very respectfully Gent:n Your most Obed Serv John Alston Mr Hendric from whom I had the Turkey Striped Saddle Cloths waits upon then being sent; and as Saddlery is open'd at the Custom home they perhaps might have been Stolen- However he agreed to allow the half of the Value, which is at your Credit JA
