I Received yours & observe the Contents Mr Beattie is just now from home, as to fatching Cattle down this way I am at a loss how to Advise you as Mr Beattie is out of the way, I am apt to think they would sale well if you was to kill them and dispose of them in Petersburg & Blandford I have not heard of any Coming too this Place, mostly all the Cattle About heare has died of the distempers & it still Continues to rage in this niberhood, Mr. Allenthorp has passd his Tobo & give me the note, under [n?] is an accot & shall go to your [Cr] as soon Sold I would a let him pass it at Hansons only I thenk I can get 16/8 or 17/ Payt in [?] he only gives 15/ as formerly under noted is an accot of Tillys Tobo [?[ at Hansons Mr Allenthorp his had 2 qts Rum @/6 & 2/6 Cash which [?] Cr. Milners 16th Augt 1774 Dear Sir I am indebted to you for two letters which cam to hand both when I was from hom, at any rate I ought to have answed them before now & [would] but for a Message I sent you by [Sandie Roxburgh] when he was last her which I fancy he neglected to deliver, it was that I [could[ not [?] procure the Goods you wish for but at an Extra Advance [?] I did not like to gice, however as I find you are Still in want of the Goods I have procuredsuch of them as can be got here & Inclosed [?] & as I cannot procure [?] Goods you want I send you also p Inclosed [?] [?] [?] [?] have just arrived & as you will find it well assorted & the Goods well laid in I hope it will be agreeable to you to receive it in part of the Goods [?] [?] owes you in Barter [?] it [should] not you may deliver it along with the [?] to A. Roxburgh to make up a load for the bearer by Mr Donaldson's desire I send you 8 bushels fine Salt I [would] be glad to furnish you with any kind of West IndiaGoods very low I receive Tobo in payt by & by viz Rum @ 3/4 & every
