Agreeable to your Instructions have had the Tobacco Inspected at B Brook, Mr. Burford’s Tobo is passed and one of Mr Harrises the Inspector tells me they cannot weigh the Tobo to night, the waggoners being [disapointed?] in moving out the Noward Family have taken their load in salt and are in a hurry to get out so that I must [contrive] you to weigh by some other opportunity. Sirs We are this day favourd with yours by Joseph Baxtin & 2 Hhds Tobacco which shall be inspected as you direct, and at foot is a note of the same as well as the 2 Hhds sent formerly — on the 6th Inst we wrote you by [?] Blackwood that carried 2 Negroes for you & then mentioned the weights of these 2 Hhds by Maxwell

Merchts only to meet the 25th at Wmburg when Court is over, will advise you the Exchg. Hanson lately purchased a considerable quanity of Tobo on Rappahannock a 10/ Ster

We can supply you with No-ward Rum at 3/ pr Gallon. Musco Sugar 50/. payl in Virginia money in six months or Tobacco immediately delivered at the Cash price — you know what we get by them on these terms — Rum at present is Scarce & will be some time

We will get the Tobo picked & priced up directly & advise you the weight. You'll please inform your Customers not to price their Tobacco too high more than 300 hhds have been refused for that fault only. We are Sirs [missing text]
