Men cutting ice 3 1/2 inches Thick. Father went to Mt. Olney with 1 1/2 dozen chickens, to Olney and the [?] - Uncle Jim came to dinner.
Cousin Henry Russell slightly better. Harriet came in the afternoon to help with the ironing. Cousin Henry Miller and Frank Hallwell called for the butter worker [?] Rife Dingley of Maine very ill with pneumonia. I enjoyed a repeat of hot boiled potatoes and jam in the kitchen - in the evening.

Wedn. 4 Cloudy rained.

Got up expecting to go to Brookeville, but found Anna could not come, so I did not go. Father and men hauled ice 3 1/2 in. Lonny [?] came for me to telephone to Olney for him Margaret called in the afternoon - took me to Church Hill - Father, Mother and I went on, called at Olney - went with them to the Oyster supper - for the[indecipherable] of the new Catholic Church. Dr. Andrews telephoned for Aunt Eliza to drive to Rockville to nurse his wife, but of course [?] she was not well enough yet.
