David:
just a little note.
I have enclosed my essay on your work. I hope you will find it in general satisfactory and I hope it will reach you in time for the catalog of your exhibition.
As you will see from Sylvia's note (also enclosed) we have been most busy this summer.
I am also in the process of preparing the abstract of my College Arts Association paper that you asked for. That should be ready in August (sooner if necessary, though).
Give Thelma our regards and let us hear from you soon.
All the best, Keith
P.S. excuse the stationery and pencil. They are all I can find at the moment.

Dear David, I hope things are going well there with the show. I know the passing of your father caused quite an adjustment, however I feel that the strength he left as a legacy to you and those around will sustain the sadness of his physical departure. I know I will always remember a tall, lean black man of dignity strolling in the quiet woods and fields. A man posessing an inner quiet, knowing and acceptance. He will always be in my memory as one those who have shared their light to a restless soul on his journey too. How fortunate you must be to have had such a companion during your travels and how fortunate he lived to see his male seedling from the hills of North Carolina stride the continents of the world. Love, Carl Earl?

7/24/73 Dear David,
The weather has been miserable here. Things are beginning to get quiet. I am still trying to finish loose ends. The large paintings had to go by truck after they were sent to Airport. They called and said it (the crate was too large). I sent the collage woman with flowers by air freight.
