To the Honorable the General Assembly of the State
of Tennessee
Your Petitioners, Citizens resident on
the South side of Hobton, beg leave to State to your
Honorable body, that they frequently have occasion to attend
at Knoxville on business, and there being at low water a very
good [fourd?] on the said river Opposite Knoxville, Pray your Honorable
body to pass a law authorising a passage to be kept Open from the
now ferry landing to said [foard?], as it would save a very great expence
to your Petitioners and others, and they in duty pray
