Is the Honorable Senate and House
of Represention of the State of Tennessee now in
Session - WE the subscriber Citizens of the
Town of Gallatin in the County aforesaid ^& its vicinity -^ impress-
-ed with a Belief that an Independent
Company of Infantry, in said Town would
be conducive to the good order and Discipline
of the County, do pray that your Honorable
Body may enact a law to that affect under
such Rules & Regulations as your Honorable
Body may judge proper and your petitioner
as in duty bound will ever pray &c ~
