Dr John A Kinnicott
Dear Sir
Your favor of 2d inst was duly received. Endorsed by Messrs J. H. [Bureth?] for Draft on Merchant Bank for $10. to balance your a/c. for which we are obliged, and herewith Enclose receipt-
We are sorry to hear that some of the bulbs did not succeed well. we thought at the time all the bulbs were sound and good. perhaps there may be some thing in your climate or soil not so favorable to some sorts.
We shall have a fine collection of Hyacinths and other hardy bulbs again in autumn. also have a splendid collection of gladiolas, Lilies &c and should be glad to fill any order you may favor us with.
Yours Respectfully Hovey Co
