Kind friend your two last
Recd and also to-day the Box of Bulbs came by
Express, but the ground is frozen, and has been
for a week and we now have 2 inches of
snow and a good prospect for more I have
never seen such bona-fide winter weather
so early in the season since my first advent
into South. Illinois, but I am in hope that
we will have good weathr again, or else
my bulbs are a dead Loss_ some that I recd
from Elwanger & Barry have been planted &
did I order from you, "Dielytra Spectabilis" as I
have a supply Recd last spring from Byron
N. York, also where is the samll package
of flower seeds or haS our "Little friend [cora?]
not got them ready yet you will recolect the
Expression_ as [illegible] in your some 6 weeks since
I am very glad indeed to hear of your heavy
Sales this fall_ and must say that the tree
pedlers have done an extensive business here
this last season. Henry &Co of Dayton Ohio
here delivered 45. by large Boxes _ of trees _ of
all sorts, within 10 to 20 miles of me this
fall
