Raysville, Henry Co Inda
6th [Month] 18th 1861.

Dear Doctor,

I am very sorry to hear of
thy unfortunate Banking -- I beg thee
to give thyself no uneasiness about
my Bill. I should have said
nothing about it, only I supposed it
might suit thee better than any
other way --if, for instance they sh'
owe thee, & have no money
to pay it -- But I'll have it arranged
with them -- and if I can, I'll take
some stuff from thee -- don't know
now whether there will be anything
I can use, or not -- [May] thou
have Osage, next fall? We have
some call for it -- Planted a few seeds
(soaked) at the first of a severe drought.
Fear they will fail --
