Dear Sir -- I would like to
inquire of you about those 2 year old trees of the
Willow Twigs of yours, are they buds or root grafts?
if buds, how many have you --- have they made good
growth for that variety. & what is their heighth -- and
where did you get the buds on scione?
I have written to A. R. Whitney wo cultivates & prop-
ogates them largely but he has none but root graphs --
has plenty in the bud on I po stocks ------------ I do not want
to plant root graphs. ----- if I can get buds --------- Shall want
150 for myself & could sell 150 more to friends have ---
Send your price by the 1st ------------ You wrote me last
summer that you had afew trees of the Sanrence Pear -----
Have you got anymore on hand now ------------
The Delarn nursery has changed hands again
at $10,000. Babcock the one who bought of Phoenix
clearer between $6 & $7,000 in the operation ---------
Nursery sales will not be as heavt this spring as last I
think as money is not quite as plenty as last spring ---------
Have you plenty of "Early Richmond" cherry & what stocks
are they worked on. If I do not go to the Delaran
Nursery to help though the sales. I will try to come
& see you this spring -- How far are you from Deer Grove
on the Illinois & Mrs. R. R? We can get there by Stage,
& I can get freight by thats to Delaran ------
