I rec d[underlined] through the post. last Thursday a Catalogue of the Birds of North America - Presuming from the superscription I am indebted to you for this favor I return my thanks.

I have not yet pinned my beetles. I found after you left a bottle in which I had placed separately all my "small fry" - the result of "beating" &c - I wondered at the time we examined the only bottle I could get at why there were so few small beetles in the lot.

you is not very rare here I saw 5 or 6 during the Autumnal months - but they flew high - I could not take the first one.
