Dear Sir,

I left Cairo soon
after your being at Birds Point, in consequence
of sickness & therefore have been unable to devote
any time to the collection of specimens for you.

I have rc'd your communication of 19. July
& would say, that on my return which will be about
the middle of September that I will devote my leisure
time in some way ans.g your purposes & hope that
my services will some time be of advantage to your
Institution.
