My Dear Robert

On my return from
a short excursion made in the
vicinity of this, my summer
residence, I found your letter
from St. Paul. I was delighted
to find that you had such good
prospect of success and hope no-
thing will interfere with a
successful trip to Pembina. You
cannot fail of making many
important acquisitions. I have
nothing special to add to pre-
vious suggestions, except that,
it will be well to make a very
close investigation of the streams
at your most northern point,
and secure a very complete col-
lection of the smaller fish.

I am very glad the long
lost bottle of Mr. Cavileers is
