Dear Bob-
Your father came home yesterday Amasa went after evergreens day before yesterday. Frank talked of going with him but I think he did not.
Delia Boyden came out with Flast sunday. but I suppos your folks have told that long ago. we had a very good time althoug I did not see much of her, for she and Charlie went off in (Cora says "the favorit [illegible] man took the [illegible]" now how do you suppose I can write sense with her [illegible] tings disconnected bits of poetry in my ears.) the forenoon and we did not see them again until dinner. us all about the Rockford Seminary She dislikes it very much. says that every scholar has to doe so much work every day Lizzie washes dishes two hours every day. One girle had to wash half barrel of potatos daily for one whole term. They have a rule for every thing even to how they should hold their heads and how they should walk a cross the floor. I do'nt think I should like such a school.
To days nt composition day and we have to select peaces and read them.
We are studding Metorology I like it very much.
Bruno went in tow monday with Frank, he came home with uncle Dr" he seems to have enjoyed himself very much. He went with Delia B-

to Mrs Learnerds, and he went to Dr Andrews I think that he liked the latter the best though he did'ent say so
Aunt Corrie (now I am going to entertain you with a little spice of gossip) has all her wash to do on acount of her falling out with the Ballards. Mrs Ballard goes out with Mr Ballard in the field to work and when she is in the house she stays in her own room not allowing Alice to associate with Aunt Corrie children on the other side Aunt Corrie is quite as ugly (now I know this is not correct) as they are. I expect they will have a real quarrell soon
I should not gossip if I had anything else to write a bout I think I hear you say that I had better

not write at all than write such nonsense, besides you will say that I ought to write my letters more carefully and try to spell better but to day I am in a horrible hurry as I must spell now in a minute so you will have to see it as it is.
