Dear Sir.

At the request of the Recording Secretary of the Natural History History ^Society, I have the pleasure to notify you that the Council of the Society have directed that as Complete a set of the Society’s Journal as can be furnished shall be forwarded to you; and by this time it is doubtless on its way.

I enclose the accompanying note from the Curator of Conchology, as sufficiently explanatory of the wants of our Society in one department at least, in accordance with a suggestion from yourself, I believe.
