Believing that the appointment of Col: Brady
to the office of secretary of state for the state of
Tennessee, will not only give general satisfaction,
but call in some measure into notice the abilities
which he certainly possesses, we the undersigned
respectfully solicit for him that appointment,
and trust that our wishes will accord
with the opinion of Governor M^cMinn, as
respects the propriety of the appointment.
