Plumb Grove 8 August 1797

Sir

It is now but a short time until the assembly will is to convene, and the nature of the publick [sic] business will it is expected, demand claim their services in session for a length the of time, and as such will be the case, it will be highly necessary that the publick [sic] monies in the hands of the different collection, should be deposited in the treasury before the close of the sess:

You will therefore please to take such the most effectual measures in your power, to [earn?] the different receivers of the public monies, to bring forwards the same into the treasury ^with all possibly dispatch for there will be great demand for all that can be collected -
