Meeting
December 10, 1901

Be it known that a meeting of the Directors of the Houston
Oil Company of Texas held at the office of the Company in the
city of Houston Texas on this the 10th day of December A.D. 1901.
A quorum being present Mr. Joe H Eagle was elected Chairman and the
following resolutions were passed to wit.

Roght-of-way to
Gulf, Beaumont and
Gt Northern Ry

Whereas it is to the interest of the Houston Oil Company of
Texas that a right of way Two Hundred (200) feet wide over
the following tracts of land should be granted to the Gulf
Beaumont and Great Northern Railway. Therefore be it

Resolved that the Houston Oil Company of Texas convey to the said
Railway Company in consideration of the enhancement in value of the
property of the said Houston Oil Company of Texas by reason of the
construction of the Gulf Beaumont and Great Northern Railway from
Rogan to San Augustine Texas a right of way Two Hundred (200)
feet wide and embracing all the land lying within One
Hundred (100) feet and in the direction of the center line of the
Gulf Beaumont and Great Northern Railway track through each of the
following surveys viz: The C. Rowe survey the A Brockett survey and surveys
#214, 164, 166, 168, 178, 176, 170, 174, 172 surveyed for the Houston and Texas
Central Railway Company on the waters of Sandy Creek and Mill Creek
all in Jasper County Texas.

Resolved further that the President of the said Houston Oil Company
of Texas be and is hereby duly authorized to execute a deed of con-
veyance in the name of said Company to said Railway Company
conveying said right of way but specially reserving in said deed
of conveyance all merchantable timber, oil minerals upon on
under the right of way so conveyed and the right to enter upon
said right of way nd remove said timber, oil and other minerals
provided the operations of such removal shall not interfere with
the construction operation or maintenance of said Railway.

There being no further business upon motion duly seconded the
meeting adjourned.
